English Version - Intel hasannounced the cessation ofproduction of several variants ofits desktop processors, amounting to 19 types of familyClarkdale, Lynnfield, and SandyBridge.
Termination is due to the presence of a newer desktopprocessors to replace other types of processors. All these processors use a motherboard with socket LGA1366, LGA1156and LGA1155.
Some types of processors thatwere replaced are older than twoyears. With the presence of SandyBridge processors and SandyBridge-E that target all segmentsof the line, this may be becauseIntel would prefer not to drop theselling price of the old processorand prefer to stop production.
A somewhat surprising that the termination of several types ofSandy Bridge Intel Pentium familyof the newly launched severalmonths ago. The series will bereplaced with the newergenerations like the Intel G630,G630T, and G860.
Socket LGA1366 introduced inNovember 2008 aimed at high-end segment. It began to be replaced LGA2011 socket thatsupports the Sandy Bridge-E since14 November 2011 ago.Meanwhile, socket LGA1156introduced in September 2009 forthe mainstream segment andreplaced by a support LGA1155Sandy Bridge in January 2011.

Indonesian Version - Intel telah mengumumkan penghentian produksi beberapa varian prosesor desktop-nya yang berjumlah 19 tipe dari keluarga Clarkdale, Lynnfield, dan Sandy Bridge.
Penghentian ini dikarenakan hadirnya prosesor desktop yang lebih baru guna menggantikan jenis-jenis prosesor tersebut. Semua prosesor tersebut menggunakan motherboard dengan socket LGA1366, LGA1156 dan LGA1155.
Beberapa jenis prosesor yang digantikan memang berusia lebih dari dua tahun. Dengan hadirnya prosesor Sandy Bridge dan Sandy Bridge-E yang menyasar segmen dari segala lini, hal ini bisa dimaklumi karena Intel lebih memilih tidak menjatuhkan harga jual prosesor lama dan lebih memilih menghentikan produksinya.
Yang agak mengejutkan yaitu dihentikannya beberapa jenis dari keluarga Intel Pentium Sandy Bridge yang baru diluncurkan beberapa bulan yang lalu. Seri tersebut nantinya akan diganti dengan generasi yang lebih baru seperti Intel G630, G630T, dan G860.
